| I think it's about time we got rid of those who do not post anymore. Say after 3 or 6 months as what's the point of having these members if not contributing |

| The silent majority. However, some do not post because of negative comments. I do know of another site that was doing good but then one member ridiculed a lot of people, ideas. Bare bones site now. Incidentally, have not seen knackered post recently. Hope he is well. |

Incidentally, have not seen knackered post recently. Hope he is well. yes a bit worrying our aussie friend has not posted for over 3 weeks after his turn really hope the old fellas ok...regards negative posts I think they are down to 1 liner replies and not expressing or explaining themselves in detail or laymen terms atb

| disagree on this one im afraid Ray, I for one have been back on lately but before that not on for a while, but its nice to be able to come on now and again to read past discussions and for advice for any current pigeon problems you may have come across, I agree maybe 2 years is a fair time but not 3 or 6 months imo |

| in my opinion the main ones who need removing are members who register, and never even log in to the forum, or contribute nothing to the topics.....I don't see the point in joining if they are going to do that.
I do like to see old members return though, who avnt been on for a while, its nice to hear what they have been up to and how they have been doing with their birds. |

| I am a relative newcomer to this forum and I try to contribute to most things if I have something worthwhile saying.
However, I have had a few postings ignored, like one I posted recently - re baths when birds are moulting, but I guess that is the way things go sometimes.
It seems to me, it is the same old half a dozen people that contribute week in and week out.
Having said that, can we STOP people from using or joining the site, if they are already members? Isn't that getting a bit elitist!

| there is a facility in the admin tools which gives the choice to remove any member who hasn't posted for a certain length of time.......personally if members come and go that's up to them, family and other commitments come first......but the thing that bugs me is why register and join if you do not want to contribute and say anything on the topics, or why register if you never log into the forum, if they want to do this just remain a visitor.
the forum is pretty quiet compared to the past, when we had a lot more contributing, but I suppose we all have other things to do , and they come before posting on here, plus some may have packed in with pigeons so don't come on any more......sadly a few are no longer with us, who were very good members who contributed a great deal to the topics and were well liked, I also think facebook is where a lot of people prefer to go now, rather than forums...personally I don't like facebook but merely opened an account to link it to this forum, to hopefully attract new members. |
