| Hi I finally found this section so here is a little about myself, I live in Portugal now I moved from Blackpool in 2009 to Alberta Canada for a year then to the Algarve.
I had pigeons in the 70s when I was a kid and raced them with my father for 6 or 7 years, then returned to the sport in 2005 and raced them for anothe 4 years.
I have 4 Roland Janssens stock birds that I had flown in from Louella lofts and 4 stock birds from Jose Ledesma the Spanish flyer who runs the One loft race derby arona Teneriffe. (I hope to start my own strain) My Avatar is my favourite pigeon he is the son of Red Bingo.
I am looking after 500 birds owned by my friend here in the Algarve, as he has been ill for 3 months recovering from a stroke.
My partner Joan helps me everyday with the birds and we are trying to get them fit for season start on Feb 2nd. |

| Hi all members i enjoy this forum very much .Although i dont race the pigeons now due to working away from home for most of the year on oil rigs i have joined due to large numbers of birds that land up on rigs so as i can let owners know where they are .we are usualy down of the coast of yarmouth .over the years i have returned lost birds from all over the uk and europe.Looking forward to the many topics that are discust on the site.
