Young and old exercising.

Had them out yesterday and today. Few hawks around and birds are in heavy moult. Did not expect too much air time. Almost 2 hours yesterday and again today. Guess they are not too concerned about missing feathers. Did add Electrolytes to the water yesterday. Also pounded down a piece of mineral block and put it with the pullet grit. Will be glad when they are done. Will separate them in a week or so. Still too many. Have a 100 birds. Can fly 60 plus old birds next year if I keep them all. I have the space. All but 15 youngsters have been raced previously. My usual year end method is to cull 30 birds. Thinking now to keep them all. Must be an age thingy? Right Knackered?

Could be right Hal "age thing" Oh to be so lucky "100 birds" I know an  old type tragic, that has 100 race hens & 62 cocks etc going to waste here. So if like send a box over & he will give you some super old style aussie imports, cheap .
