| there are lots of differing theories out there, and all lofts do things differently with many champions doing complete opposites to other champions (very difficult to judge) was reading recently about the foot theory and this fancier was adamant that this was the only theory that was worth its salt......?? ie the bird with the first feet to hit the landing board on a race day there are many roads that lead to rome |

| ive often heard fanciers saying the bassket will sort them out, and mainly thats true.....but what if the fancier has not done enough in his management to give the birds a good chance of doing well? if his system is crap he can hardly say for definate that the basket has sorted them out.......??? |

yes thats what i think too ian........as long as they are getting a fair chance to see how they do, then it can be said the basket has sorted out the crap..... |

| would be great to hear members routine/management systems as we all have different ideas most likely, but still get the same results if we win. |

I followed my own advice on Saturday, i had 1 cock and 10 hens to many for my loft and boxes. So i posted a ad FREE to good home. All the birds where snapped up by 5 fanciers. 7 left today 2 going on Saturday and the last 2 leave in 2 weeks. Some have gone to newish starters and some to pigeonmen who needed more hens. They were nearly all birds that i had brought in, and none of them had put a pigeon toe wrong. Only one was a bird that i bred. |

If you really want them Ian, you will be more than welcome to them! After all, you helped me with some cracking gift birds last year! 5 of the 6 are still here! Love them, especially the red n white cock, we call him "mackem!" |
