As for Ambitions in sport.

Think they vary, from a pleasant pass time to the fanatical.

But the very worst are those who make it a business and take the gullible for mugs.

See another pile of pigeons, all full of winning blood for sale, if they were cetain to be any good they would not be for sale.

But hey, put half a dozen in that you could not sell before, reduce price a bit and all your Christmas expenses paid for.

Each time you need a holiday etc; do the same.

Do not mean the Studs.

Everything at the moment against the genuine grass root fancier.

As things are those ruining the sport may just come a cropper.

These are the same people who have held the sport back they do not want change.


Just hope for the sake of the genuine fanciers the sports present problems can be dealt with.

the phase i like it will fill your loft with winners

The wife and I were looking forward to enjoying a good old sing song joining in the carol service, from Westminster Abbey.

What we got was a set of dressed up puppets killing everything they sang, joy full turned into doleful, screeching their heads off, dubious readers of the Bible obviously think they can ignore the Bibles principles and be accepted into the New World.

The sooner people realise the Church of England have abandoned the Bible's principles to facilitate bums on seats the better.

We must be giving other countries a bad example and reasons for concern'

Going to the dog's springs to mind.

Some may think it does not matter, but along with the JOKE, sorry WOKE people, our whole way of life is threatened, along with our sport.

yes David had a visitor so put it away and forgot about it

i remember years ago george, my older brother would visit with his wife and children when i lived at home with my mam..........his wife would talk with my mother while he sat reading his racing pigeon weekly, hardly uttering a word

he would do the same when visiting our grandma and grandad .......came prepared with the pigeon weekly ....

did you both not talk pigeons

yes george sometimes we did, but i was younger and going out places ....or if we visited his house his wife would sit with my mam while we went to see the pigeons in the garden ......

Fanciers fancy is how I would best perhaps describe it here Misty food/pigeons/training/welfare secret potions matters little what others may do, just matters what best works for you type of thing in the end I suggest.

my friend and forum member ken / friendslofts told me years ago, the secret to success is "pigeon pie"  .....

now David we have all these auctions which tell you these pigeons will fill your loft with winners

its the same every year george, sales pitch is all it is .........in most cases selling feeble minded, gullable people their rubbish .

i have told this many times in 50s dad would take me to the auctions in Belfast fanciers would walk past all unraced birds at one clearance sale of a good distance flier the money men would only buy birds that done France not there brother/sisters or children

exactly george, just because a certain pigeon has raced well or bred well, it doesnt mean its brothers or sisters will do the same .......
