No good aiming low, never hit the bull's eye. If effort was the denominator, you would be home and dry. Trouble being lady luck can play a major part. But I think in the end the amount of effort and knowledge involved has it's due rewards and look forward to you having a very good season, just hope no problems arise. Regards. |

| As you know we do have a big team , biggest ever this year because we buy too many haha but again that's part of the enjoyment we get out of it. We love testing other birds again our established families. We don't race big numbers thinking it makes us win . At the end of the day Joe bloggs will still best us with his quality |

If you get the enjoyment from testing others against your own in your own loft I can understand the enjoyment involved and any races won a bonus. Also I always got as much pleasure seeing the last one back as the first and in your case seeing them come swooping in over a period must give much pleasure. Hope all goes well. Regards. |

| Read the BHW George
The RPRA Annual Report makes depressing reading , think the new guy will do his best against all the odds.
Been left in the lurch by those who have enjoyed an easy life and when matters got difficult left the ship.
John Harwoods article is sad to read, always exchanged Christmas Cards and wondered why we did not get one this year.
He is a down to earth country lad, must be unthinkable to be unable to get out in the countryside paid us a visit and went over the pigeons and fishing tackle both being keen anglers, although I think John is only interested in fly fishing where I also like course and sea.
His many articles over the years have been very interesting and informative.
Just hope and pray his operation goes well.
The photos give a clear indication of the ages of most present day fanciers, including the only club left in Scarborough, once four thriving clubs now one with very few participating members.
Think the AGM report will be in next weeks BHW.
Regards. . . . |

| Will be very interesting George to find out just how many flying members the RPRA have.
Trying to fathom out just exactly what is going on is impossible, the case of THEM THAT SHOULD KNOW DO KNOW appears to still be the case
Regards.

I know no one can in any way be involved in marking their own birds, so at least three club members must be present or go to another club to mark their birds. In results the last season in some clubs one fancier sent. Trouble is in some cases clubs are far apart. Regards. |

| looks like a club can have right number of members but then as misty says when it comes to numbers racing that's different what happens when the times are checked and only one turns up |

This is what the Rule Books says. Club Officials.RPRA RULES President Vice President Chairman Treasurer Secretary Others the club feels necessary. So if it is compulsary and no one can hold two positions you need at least 7 members. I was President and Chairman of my club for several years and Chairman of another. Also been secretary of one to sort it out. Regards. , |

| The Rules were applicable and no doubt necessary when clubs had often three figure memberships.
Can remember one Rule regarding meetings where you had a minimum number to form a qurum..
Some clubs have not that many members.
With less than 10,000 members, many that do not actually race I think the rules need a complete rethink
With the membership being so widespread more use should be made of technology as opposed to cosy meetings etc;
Clubs could also help themselves.
If there are three small clubs in a certain area they could have one HQ in the fairest place to all but still keep their independence.
SOME HOPE ??????.
Regards.
