| The thing i would do is go to louella's and see what is on show or ring first and ask the different breeds on show and then go and see if any take your fancy because if you do buy and you don't get what you like they will not take them back
And i know people who have had birds from louella and they were not what they wanted |

| if you look on the sales list on the website there are some reasonable priced birds for sale, they have got to be worth a try for the price if you are looking to introduce new blood..........
you are always going to get a difference of opinion between fanciers, those who have bought them and won nothing will say they are rubbish, while those who have won will say they are good. |

| One thing about what I have done buying birds mostly from studs and abroad noone can ever say locally I have won with thier birds and thats how I wanted it...We are all right really only in different ways, there are fanciers in this area who would never sell or give birds locally anyway. I dont want to blow my own trumpet but I give birds any birds to anyone but last year twice I was beaten by 2 different fanciers in my own club with my birds, in fact they were youngsters I have gifted them, in one of the races the nest mate was 2nd for me the the first bird I gave away, maybe I mustnt give my best away..lol Maybe they are the better fanciers than me? |

| i would get satisfaction fron it, thats providing it wasnt someone in my club i was competing against.............. for example the yb exchange we hold, if ray had won with my two birds i would have been delighted for him but also proud they were bred by me...............but on the other hand i would never breed any ybs for another member of the club i race in, and as far as i know the top flyers dont either.........lets face it your wasting your time and money buying good bird just to "gift" them to clubmates. |

| think we will have to beg to differ on this one ian, personnally i do not think any decent/top flyer would give away old or young birds off their best to fellow club members.............to members who they dont compete against yes, maybe, but to race against their own birds no.....sorry pigeon men are among the most two faced backstabbers there is, its all niggling and bitching in most of the clubs, just like it is on the internet chat forums.........they cant help themselves because the sport/hoby of pigeon racing is so competative nowadays. |
