im trying ian, im trying............ one thing tho ian, im further on this year re pairing, eggs etc than i was last year and it seems to be going smoother too.....

only problem ive had so far is the yearling cock who wont pair up, ive tried him with a couple of different hens and he still doesnt want to know........hes mental and just fights all the time so ive put him back in the yb section with four hens, i dont really want anything off him but it would just be easier if he was paired up and in the nestbox section then the yb loft is ready for when i wean the ybs.....

ive 1 similar David, cost 200 from doncaster he picked bottom nestbox waiting for 2 nd round eggs, he drives pr above out of nestbox goes for all cocks and hens on floor, hes suffering now only gets sex in box locked in with hen

would anybody like to be locked in a small room with wife, doubt it very much

think ill concentrate on the ones who have paired and layed and leave him in the yb section to either pair up or not, the only thing is he and the spare hens will be a problem when the ybs come along.....????

cock paired to one of the hens now don, but that stillleaves 3 spare hens which i can live with i suppose, hardest thing now is settling them to a box as all the other cocks wont let them settle in a box........ more problems now.....

to be honest steve, the two pairs of yearlings are really starting to anoy me now, they are paired up ok but will not defend or even show any interest in settling in the nestbox, as soon as i open the box for them to go in and out the older cocks just throw them out.........ive also a pair of yearlings who are settled ok to the box but havnt laid yet and they have been paired for two weeks, all they want to do is fight and take all the other boxes and control the floor, if these three pair dont settle down in the next few days ill be getting rid of them along with the three spare hens.....

Yes they should have sprung today, got home from work late, so will look in the morning, now the fun starts

The rings don't really bother me, I try not to look for things to worry over, I get enough of that running my own business

yes ateve, ive two 09s and they defend the box and they were even paired as ybs too......they were put together same time as stock etc and still not layed......? she is in the box as tho she is going to but no, no eggs ????

hi fred, how many will you have in the first round.....?
have you used the g10 pellets before fred, ive got a bag this year but havnt introduced them to the feed yet as they have only been sitting approx 8 days.....should i start giving them with the food now or wait a while longer ?

your right re the rings, i have wondered about them just because some of our members had got some which were damaged and were told they were void......

David, you should know better than to count your pigeons before they hatch

I have used the G10's before, but I'm using BOS pellets @ the moment, the birds love 'em, I use about 5%-10%

I've not had any damaged rings

i used the boss pellets last year fred and it took mine a while to start to eat them but they eventually did altho im not sure if i could tell any difference with using them......one thing tho, i found them very expensive but found out my supplier was ripping me off and charging way too much.
