| a bird needs to have vitality that's the main thing I look for and you can find out in an instance if a bird has it but eyesign is a theory like many other theories has yet to be proven but if it creates interest its all good stuff atb |

- this is the birds other eye
They are both from the same pigeon but the first eye has less light on it compared to the second eye |

| I would say a dual purpose eye but would say more distance type racer
To get the best out of the pigeon would need a rich deep eye with plenty of dust but
I KNOW NOTHING |

- Its funny the 2 birds are related because for me the two eyes above are the same as each other in most ways except the colour.
obviously the first 1 has a pearl red eye the other a yellow or what I call chestnut eye.
They are both racing eyes and not breeding eyes, however If I were to breed from them the first eye has the better qualities, Im not going to say they will breed champions but I have had racing eyes like those paired to breeding eyes which have produced really good birds, but racers they are for me. I would have to agree with you there Martyn racing eyes for me |

- rick tell us what you look for in a bird that's sprint, middle and distance in each bird when you have it in the hand and don't say the landing board that's being silly we are talking about the bird in the hand I will also say I don't think I've ever seen a fancier who has a bird in there hand not look at the eye
Spot on George 90% of fanciers look at the eye of any pigeon that is placed in there hand but 80% are like me know nothing |
