| Pigeons love them but they can be very fatty for them the best thing to do would be to use them to get close to your pigeons
Lets say you have called then in feeed them and go down the pen later to se how they are go in the loft and give them a peanut but play around with them as you give them the peanut by doing this you are able to get a bond with you and your pigeons. |

| Only about 2 max as they can put on fat very fast but put some into a food blender just to make them a little smaller and let the birds have a try from your hand the best time to do this is feeding time only give a small amount and see how you go |

| Yes it is best to get the ones for human consumption as if it is for us humans it is good for the pigeon
David you are getting the right type with the red skins on them but you can also get them from any health shop but you have to see which one is the cheapest but can still provide what the pigeons requirer
Can say that the higher the price still does not give you the best results just look for the balance |

| hi don, they had some others as well which didnt have the red skins on and were a whitish colour and split in half.....im pretty sure they said organic or that type of thing. im going to give the red skin ones a go as i feel my birds need to be quite a lot tamer than they are now. |

| The best time to give them is when you have them in the loft ready to feed and they are a little hungary and you can tease the pigeons and give them half a peanut, youcan do this each time they see you but only give them 2 half peanuts once they get used to you they will become tame then you are able to form a bond with you and your pigeons |

| Hi Dark chequer or should a say amanda??
Thanks for your reply, by doing this way pigeons will do anything if they are a little hungary and this is how you can bond as they will associate you as a treat and they then get more confidence being around you and being close to you and this helps on race days also as they say every second counts |

| i gave my young uns peanuts for the first time yesterday and they seemed to love them so i will be giving them as a treat from now on, as i prefer my birds tame and at the minute they are a bit wild so i will give it a go to see if it calms them down |

| yes ray, i bought some last week but still havnt got round to starting them on them.....by what ive been told the birds do love them and it does make them alot tamer and this can only be of benefit when trapping etc. |

| Hi David
the best thing to do is split the peanut then split the half again with a knife or if you know someone with a blender ask them, but only do a few till the pigeons get the taste of them |

| david dont bother chopping them up ,before feed when they are hungry just throw in about ten peanuts and leave them for half an hour or so they will pick at them at first ,but i bet when you look back in they are gone try it |

| David for me i woould wait till they are eating well and finishing everything and once you feel confident about the way they are feeding then you can try the peanuts then but when the pigeons are hungary |
